BOTTLENECK 02.18.17

Have you ever approached a construction zone and they gradually take a lane away causing all the vehicles to merge until it becomes one lane? It takes caution to do this. The people must slow down as to not cause an accident by running into each other. The drivers have to keep an eye out for the construction workers and avoid a man vs. car situation. Everyone crawls along until they get through the “bottleneck” and break through to freedom on the other side where they can go full speed again.

There are times in life where it feels like there is pressure on us from all sides pushing us towards one direction. That direction may seem like it’s for our demise because as we are being pushed, it’s uncomfortable and our patience runs thin. We want to get through to the other side so we can go full speed again. These are times to slow down, pay attention and be watchful. God is doing something. He is working things out for good. He is getting ready to let you go at full speed again but there are some repairs and improvements that need to be made first. Don’t rush the process. Don’t get a speeding ticket. Don’t run anyone over. Don’t crash the car. Be patient. Trust Him. Listen to his voice and guidance.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (KJV)

But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
